Moscow to ensure right to vote for Russians abroad, diplomat says
Up-to-date information on polling stations, including their addresses and opening hours, is available on the websites of the Russian Foreign Ministry and overseas missions
MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Moscow will ensure that the Russian citizens who are out of the country can vote in the upcoming presidential election, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
"Despite all the attempts to interfere in Russia’s domestic affairs, full-fledged voting will be organized for the Russian citizens who are out of the country," she pointed out.
Up-to-date information on polling stations, including their addresses and opening hours, is available on the websites of the Russian Foreign Ministry and overseas missions.
The Russian Federation Council, or upper house of parliament, officially designated March 17, 2024 as the day of the presidential election. The Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) then announced that voting will take place over three days on March 15-17.
