US-led coalition’s aircraft violate Syrian airspace four times in 24 hours

According to Vadim Kulit, the deputy chief of the Russian center for the reconciliation of conflicting parties, by such actions the coalition continues to create dangerous prerequisites for aviation incidents and accidents

MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. The US-led international coalition's aircraft violated Syria’s airspace four times in the area of al-Tanf over the past day, Vadim Kulit, the deputy chief of the Russian center for the reconciliation of conflicting parties has said.

"The aviation of the so-called US-led international anti-terrorist coalition continues to create dangerous situations in the sky over Syria by flying in violation of the deconfliction protocols and violating the Syrian airspace. <...> Four violations by two pairs of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft were recorded in the area of al-Tanf during one day," Rear Admiral Kulit said.

Also, during the day, two violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019, involving the coalition’s drone flights uncoordinated with the Russian side were recorded.

According to him, by such actions the coalition continues to create dangerous prerequisites for aviation incidents and accidents, as well as aggravating the situation in the Syrian airspace.
