MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems downed 11 drones over the Volgograd Region and 1 drone over the Belgorod Region during the nights, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"During the night, [the Russian forces] thwarted the Kiev regime’s attempts to carry out terror attacks via drones at facilities on Russian territory. Air defense systems on duty downed a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod Region, and 11 drones were destroyed over the Volgograd Region," the Defense Ministry said.

Later, the Defense Ministry reported that 4 more drones were downed over the Volgograd Region during the morning hours of March 8.

According to Volgograd Region Governor Andrey Bocharov, no damage or destruction was caused.
