Over 30 LPR residents killed in February from shelling by Ukrainian armed forces

LUGANSK, March 7. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces shelled the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) 23 times in February, killing more than 30 civilians and injuring 16 others, LPR Human Rights Commissioner Viktoriya Serdyukova said on her Telegram channel.

According to the ombudswoman, the Ukrainian armed forces shelled 15 population centers in the LPR 23 times in February, resulting in the deaths of 33 residents and 16 injuries. The strikes destroyed and damaged 47 civilian infrastructure facilities.

Serdyukova disclosed that Ukrainian troops shelled the city of Kreminnaya on February 29. This attack had not been reported earlier. According to Serdyukova, it wounded a retired man.

"We need to consider that the actual figures may be much higher, since the information comes from places that are regularly shelled by Ukrainian armed formations after being recorded by the competent authorities directly on the ground, therefore it is taken into account in the future," she said.

Serdyukova added that information about the Ukrainian armed forces' crimes has been forwarded to human rights organizations.
