Russian forces seize four Ukrainian army strongholds in Zaporozhye area
"The enemy lost about 50 militants yesterday evening and last night," Vladimir Rogov said
MELITOPOL, March 7. /TASS/. Russian forces seized four Ukrainian army strongholds in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia public movement, told TASS on Thursday.
"In the past 24 hours, [Russian forces] seized four Ukrainian army strongholds in the area between [the communities of] Rabotino and Verbovoye. The enemy lost about 50 militants yesterday evening and last night," the politician said.
Battles continue in the settlement of Rabotino. Russian forces are in control of the community’s southern part while the Ukrainian military is retaining its northern portion, he added.
"Major battles are raging in the ruins of a school and near the culture house while the center of the community remains the gray zone," the politician said.
The Ukrainian army continues bringing manpower and equipment, including heavy hardware, to that area. The enemy is massively employing unmanned aerial vehicles and FPV kamikaze drones, as well as reconnaissance unmanned aerial systems for adjusting artillery fire, he said.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on March 6 that units of the Dnepr Battlegroup inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 118th mechanized brigade, 126th territorial defense brigade and 23rd National Guard brigade in areas near the settlements of Rabotino and Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Tokarevka and Sadovoye in the Kherson Region and Vyschetarasovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region where the enemy lost roughly 30 troops.
