SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 6. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces’ shelling attack on civilians in Belgorod was a war crime, and therefore Russia will never let those perpetrators get away, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with participants of the World Youth Festival.

"The shelling of civilian objects, the strike with multiple rocket launchers on squares and civilians is certainly a war crime. This is how we will handle this incident and will not leave alone those who did it," the president said.

The president thanked the people living in the Belgorod Region, as well as volunteers who "are significantly contributing to the common cause", for their courage, willingness to fight, patriotic attitude to the current situation.
