Navalny died natural death, says chief of Russia’s foreign intelligence SVR
Sergey Naryshkin also finds it disgusting but quite expected that the West is staging "such satanic dances around Navalny’s coffin"
MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin has said that Alexey Navalny died a natural death.
In this way Naryshkin answered the question whether any Western meddling was involved.
"I do not think that there had been some special plot. Unfortunately, sooner or later one’s life ends. All people are mortal. Navalny died a natural death, yes," Naryshkin said in an exclusive interview for the Soloviev Live TV channel. An extract from the interview was aired on the Rossiya-1 TV channel and on the Smotrim platform.
Naryshkin also finds it disgusting but quite expected that the West is staging "such satanic dances around Navalny’s coffin."
"This is immoral and mean," he added. "And those people thought they were in a position to lecture us."
On February 16, the department of Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District reported Navalny's death in a penal colony. According to the agency, after a walk, he felt unwell and lost consciousness. Medics immediately began to render aid. Resuscitation attempts lasted for more than half an hour.
