Explosive device found under floor of car entering Crimea from north
The explosive device is made of foreign components supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries, experts said
SIMFEROPOL, March 2. /TASS/. An improvised explosive device made of foreign components was found under the floor of a car entering Crimea at the Dzhankoy checkpoint, the regional law enforcement bodies told TASS.
"Employees of the Russian Federal Security Service, while inspecting at the Dzhankoy checkpoint a car driven by a law enforcement officer traveling to Crimea from the Kherson Region, found an object similar to an explosive device attached to the floor under the driver's seat," the source said.
The car was immediately moved to a safe distance, where specialists who arrived at the scene neutralized the explosive device. According to the experts, the explosive device is made of foreign components supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries.
All circumstances and persons involved in the illegal activity are being established, the source added.
The Dzhankoy checkpoint is located in the north of Crimea, on the administrative border with the Kherson Region.
