Russian troops repulse nine Ukrainian attacks near Avdeyevka in DPR
The Ukrainian army’s losses amounted to over 490 personnel, Alexander Savchuk said
MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Russian troops repulsed nine Ukrainian army attacks near the settlement of Avdeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day, Spokesman for Russia’s Battlegroup Center Alexander Savchuk reported on Friday.
"The Battlegroup’s units supported by artillery fire and air strikes repulsed nine counterattacks by the 47th and 61st mechanized brigades near Novobakhmutovka and Semyonovka. In addition, they inflicted damage on formations of the 53rd and 61st mechanized and 59th motorized infantry brigades near Berdychi, Severnoye, Orlovka and Pervomaiskoye," the spokesman said in a video that Russia’s Defense Ministry uploaded on its Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian army’s losses amounted to over 490 personnel, he said.
In addition, Russian troops "destroyed 7 tanks, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, including a Bradley, 4 armored combat vehicles and 11 motor vehicles," he said.
