MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. There are many CIA bases in Ukraine, Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov said.
"A lot," he said when asked by a television host about how many CIA bases are in fact in Ukraine.
Earlier, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there are definitely much more bases than the twelve that were reported by the media.
"They have long entered there, they are using their resource to make sure that both themselves and <…> representatives of Ukraine’s intelligence agencies can do that dirty job we are talking about today," the FSB chief said.
Bortnikov emphasized that the adversary, represented by the Americans, British and French, is energetically operating in Ukraine.
"The work is underway," he said when asked whether Russian forces "can reach" the CIA bases in Ukraine.
