China’s special envoy to be in Russia on March 3, to meet with Russian senior diplomat

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. On March 3, Chinese Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui will arrive in Moscow, where he is scheduled to meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mukhail Gazulin, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing.
In May 2023, the Chinese diplomat conducted his first tour of European countries to help resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
"The Chinese special envoy will arrive in Russia on Sunday. He is scheduled to meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Galuzin. This is what his agenda of talks in Moscow concerns," the diplomat said.
From May 15 to 26, 2023, Li Hui visited Kiev, Warsaw, Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Moscow to discuss the Ukrainian conflict. During his trip, he met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and diplomats from these countries, including Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Li Hui served as China's Vice Foreign Minister from 2008 to 2009. He was Chinese Ambassador to Russia from 2009 to 2019.
