Moscow to hold Russia-Africa foreign ministers’ meeting in Sochi this fall — Lavrov

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. The first Russia-Africa foreign ministers’ meeting will take place in the Black Sea resort of Sochi in the fall of 2024, top Russian diplomat Sergey Lavrov said.
"We pay much attention to implementing the outcome of the second Russia-Africa Summit," he pointed out at a press conference following talks with Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop. "One of the decisions made at the summit was to create a Russia-Africa ministerial platform, which would involve the top diplomats. We will hold its first meeting in Sochi this fall," Lavrov added.
He added that Russia expected Mali to take part in the event.
