US wants to destabilize situation in Russia before elections — embassy
"The Russophobic hysteria artificially whipped up in the United States confirms the focus of the U.S. authorities on destabilizing the internal political situation in our country on the eve of the presidential election," the embassy said
WASHINGTON, February 28. /TASS/. The US authorities want to destabilize the domestic political situation in Russia before the presidential election by artificially stirring up Russophobic hysteria, the Russian embassy in Washington said.
"The Russophobic hysteria artificially whipped up in the United States confirms the focus of the U.S. authorities on destabilizing the internal political situation in our country on the eve of the presidential election," the embassy said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
This is how the diplomats commented on the anti-Russian statements of US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller and other representatives of the US administration. "We regard such statements as a rude attempt to interfere in the internal affairs," the embassy pointed out.
