HAVANA, February 27. /TASS/. Cuban revolutionary leader Raul Castro received Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev in Havana on Monday to discuss bilateral security cooperation.
"While in Havana, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev was received by Cuban revolutionary leader Raul Castro. The parties discussed various issues related to Russian-Cuban security cooperation. Nikolay Patrushev assured Raul Castro that Moscow remained committed to the spirit of strategic partnership between the two countries," the Russian Security Council said in a statement.
Earlier, Patrushev held a meeting with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel to discuss security, economic and cultural cooperation. The parties emphasized that Russia and Cuba were reliable allies, actively boosting multifaceted relations and pursuing a consistent policy aimed at deepening bilateral ties.
