No serious proposals on strategic stability dialogue from US — Lavrov
The Russian foreign minister stressed that Moscow does not trust the United States after it "openly declared Russia a hostile state, an immediate threat that is to be eliminated and defeated"
RIO DE JANEIRO, February 22. /TASS/. Russia has received no serious proposals from the United States on resuming the strategic stability dialogue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"There have been no serious proposals from the Americans," he said after a G20 ministerial meeting, when asked if any meetings on strategic stability are planned.
He stressed that Moscow does not trust the United States after it "openly declared Russia a hostile state, an immediate threat that is to be eliminated and defeated."
Apart from that, he stated that the United States is waging not only a hybrid war on Russia but "quite directly in some cases." He noted that Russia is still ready for strategic stability talks. "But such a conversation should be honest, and not the same old thing the United States is used to," he stressed.
