Medvedev calls protecting Russia’s critical information infrastructure priority
The risks to key infrastructure are very real, Dmitry Medvedev stated, noting that Russia was able to verify this "after how Western countries behaved, for example, with ordinary cars"
MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Protecting elements of Russia’s critical information infrastructure is the most important task for the country - this work needs to progress faster, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with Russian media, including TASS.
"When it comes to protecting our critical technologies, the elements of our critical information infrastructure, this is the most important task," he said, adding that this work should be done faster.
At the same time, risks to key infrastructure are very real, Medvedev stated, noting that Russia was able to verify this "after how Western countries behaved, for example, with ordinary cars." "People bought cars from them, and then bam, there are no updates," he said.
"But these are only cars or some other equipment - when it comes to power plants, elements of other infrastructure, transportation and others, this becomes a very serious threat," Medvedev added.
