S-200 surface-to-air missile re-equipped into strike weapon intercepted in Rostov Region
According to the report, air defense systems also destroyed the drone over the territory of the Bryansk Region
MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. The air defense systems have intercepted a Ukrainian drone in Russia’s Bryansk Region and an S-200 surface-to-air missile re-equipped into a strike weapon in the Rostov Region, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.
"This night an attempt of a terrorist attack by the Kiev regime with a drone and an S-200 surface-to-air missile re-equipped into a strike weapon on facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted. Air defense systems destroyed the drone over the territory of the Bryansk Region and the missile over the territory of the Rostov Region," the report said.
Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev reported via his Telegram channel that air defense systems successfully hit air targets over the region’s territory, with no damage on the ground.
