Russia, Cuba to hold meeting of intergovernmental commission within 2-3 months — Lavrov
Two countries attach great importance to activities of the intergovernmental commission in the development of bilateral cooperation, Russian Foreign Minister said
HAVANA, February 19. /TASS/. Russia and Cuba attach great importance to activities of the intergovernmental commission in the development of bilateral cooperation and the two countries intend to hold the next meeting of the commission in coming 2-3 months, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"Today we confirmed our readiness for further boosting trade, economic and investment cooperation," he told reporters following talks with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
"Decisions were made not long ago, which additionally formed a full-fledged legal and contractual framework for cooperation in the economic area, with the Russian-Cuban intergovernmental commission on trade, economic and science-technical cooperation playing a special role in this respect. We confirmed the sides’ interest in holding the next meeting of this structure in coming 2-3 months," the minister added.
