Russian troops repel over 10 attempts to break through line of contact in LPR in past week
"All attempts ended in the complete defeat of sabotage groups and advance units," Viktor Vodolatsky said
LUGANSK, February 19. /TASS/. Russian forces have repelled over ten attempts by the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries to breach Russia’s defenses near the LPR city of Kremennaya as well as the Kupyansk area over the past week, Russian legislator Viktor Vodolatsky told TASS.
"Over the past week, Ukrainian fascists and mercenaries have tried several times to launch a counterattack in the wooded area of Serebryansky and the Kremennaya forest, in the Kupyansk area," said Vodolatsky, the State Duma lower house’s coordinator for inter-parliamentary relations with the LPR.
"All their attempts, and there were more than 10 of them, ended in the complete defeat of sabotage groups and advance units, which were decimated, with remnants scattering in the surrounding areas, only to be killed by our army aircraft," he said.
Earlier, Vodolatsky reported that the Kremennaya district along with the settlement of Belogorovka remained the most volatile sections of the front in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
