Liberation of Avdeyevka improves security situation in Yasinovataya — authorities

DONETSK, February 19. /TASS/. The security situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic’s Yasinovataya has already improved after the liberation of Avdeyevka, Dmitry Shevchenko, the head of the Yasinovataya municipal district, told the Donetsk news agency.
"We are already feeling the first, so to speak, positive effects of the liberation of Avdeyevka by our military. This morning is probably one of the quietest in recent years. Not a single incoming enemy shell was recorded in the city," Shevchenko said.
On February 17, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that Avdeyevka was under the full control of the Russian army. Avdeyevka is west of Yasinovataya, from where Ukrainian forces have also shelled nearby Donetsk and Makeyevka.
