MOSCOW, February 18. /TASS/. The German economy is sustainable, though it is losing its competitiveness without Russia’s energy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Rossiya-1 TV channel’s Pavel Zarubin published on the journalist’s Telegram channel.
"Competitiveness is being lost or has already been lost due to the fact that it [the economy] was built on relatively <…> cheap Russian energy resources," Putin said.
Nevertheless, Germany’s economy is sustainable, he added. "The fundamentals of the German, European economy are serious and substantial," the president noted.
