Up to 35 Voronezh apartments damaged after Ukrainian UAV attack repelled by air defenses

As many as 35 apartments, according to preliminary data, have been damaged in three apartment buildings in the borderline Russian city of Voronezh following an attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which was successfully repelled by Russian air defenses, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said on his Telegram channel.
"According to preliminary data, 35 apartments in three 10-story buildings on Teplichnaya Street were damaged: 23 apartments in house #6A (1st entrance), 7 apartments in house #68 (4th entrance), 4 apartments in house #6B (3rd entrance), and 1 apartment in house #6G," he wrote.
Gusev added that a temporary accommodation center had been opened at School No. 84 to house residents of the affected apartments. However, no one has asked for help yet, as people are staying with their relatives. According to the governor, representatives of security services, the Sovetsky District administration, and the Stroytekhnika building management company are working on site; the city administration has set up an operational headquarters; and specialists are installing temporary glazing in the house. He specified that the issue of installing temporary glazing at houses No. 67, No. 68A, No. 67B and No. 68B on Ostrogozhskaya Street in Voronezh has also been resolved.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense units destroyed five Ukrainian UAVs and intercepted another three over the Voronezh Region on Tuesday night. As Gusev reported, a girl born in 2013 was injured in Voronezh as a result of a UAV fragment hitting an apartment on Teplichnaya Street; the child was treated on the spot. The balcony of an apartment caught on fire due to falling debris. Windows were broken in four houses on Ostrogozhskaya Street. The city introduced a state of emergency.
