Ukraine’s weekly losses in Kherson Region’s Krynki amounts to 200 troops - governor
Vladimir Saldo also says that the cold spell flu and respiratory diseases rate among Ukrainian troops is on the rise
GENICHESK, January 14. /TASS/. Ukraine lost around 200 troops who were either killed or wounded and several combat vehicles in the settlement of Krynki on the Dnieper left bank over the past week, Kherson Region governor Vladimir Saldo said.
"The Battlegroup Dnepr reports that in the past week the enemy’s overall losses in this area exceeded 200 militants. Two self-propelled and one tugged artillery systems, 12 mortars, one tank, one armored combat vehicle, one air defense system, seven cars, 15 boats, 38 drones, and 19 military infrastructure facilities (depots, observation points, control centers, etc.) were destroyed," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Saldo, amid the cold spell flu and respiratory diseases rate among Ukrainian troops is on the rise, many have freezing injuries while their evacuation across the Dnieper is practically impossible, with the river is freezing over. Numerous cases of freeze burns and necrosis of tissues are reported among those taken prisoner.
