Russia to achieve all goals of special military operation — senator
Valentina Matviyenko added that Russia's main advantage was that its citizens fully realize the need "to stand up for Russia's sovereign path, colossal support by society and ironclad consolidation"
MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. Russia will not let anything stop it from accomplishing each and every stated goal in the special military operation, Russian Federation Council (upper house or senate) Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.
"I am confident that no external factors can affect our resolve to consistently advance toward the achievement of all the stated goals of the special military operation," she said during an awards ceremony for reporters for the best coverage of parliamentary activity.
"Both on the front lines and in the economy and in many other spheres, our adversaries are not succeeding and will not succeed," Matviyenko stressed.
She added that Russia's main advantage was that its citizens fully realize the need "to stand up for Russia's sovereign path, colossal support by society and ironclad consolidation."
Additionally, the senator noted that the information war around the special military operation will not stop.
"The state has a clear understanding that the contribution of journalists to the coverage of the special military operation is an integral part of our unquestionable future victory. And by thanking you, I would like to thank the entire several thousand-strong team of Russian journalists who demonstrate the power of words and the power of truth during this difficult time. Above all, this concerns the war correspondents who are risking their lives while fulfilling their professional duty," she added.
During the ceremony, participants held a moment of silence for the Russian journalists who died during the special military operation.
