TULA, January 11. /TASS/. A drone intercepted by air defense forces in Russia’s Tula Region has not caused any damage to infrastructure, there are no casualties, local authorities said.

"On January 11, a fixed-wing drone was intercepted by the operational air defense systems of the Russian Defense Ministry over the territory of the Tula Region, far from populated areas. There were no casualties or damage to infrastructure," the statement said.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that at about 4:30 a.m. Moscow time (1:30 a.m. GMT), air defense systems on duty suppressed an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack. Regional governor Vladislav Shapsha reported that a drone exploded over a pumping station. According to him, as a result of the explosion, the building was damaged.
