TASS, January 10. A total of 58 residents of Russia’s Belgorod who became victims of Ukrainian shelling remain in hospitals, the region's Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"Over the past 24 hours, thirteen people were discharged from health care institutions. Those who have been injured since December 29. Now there are 58 people in medical institutions in Moscow and Belgorod. Three people who were injured on January 8 are still in intensive care, in a serious but stable condition. All the necessary assistance is being provided, all medicines are available," the regional head wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the repair works are underway in Belgorod. "The work is being carried out every day under the control of the regional government and the Belgorod city administration. I hope that we will be able to complete the main works in the near future," the governor said.
On December 30, 2023, Ukrainian forces shelled the center of Belgorod using two missiles with cluster munitions and shells of Czech production. According to the latest data, 25 people were killed, including five children, and more than 100 were wounded. Dozens of residential buildings and civilian facilities were damaged. On December 31, the Russian Defence Ministry announced a retaliatory strike on Ukrainian military facilities, including in Kharkov, as a result of which the Ukrainian side suffered significant losses.
