Ukrainian shelling of village in Russia’s Kursk Region leaves woman killed

Governor Roman Starovoit expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the killed woman

KURSK, January 9. /TASS/. A woman was killed in a Ukrainian attack on a village in Russia’s borderline Kursk region, Governor Roman Starovoit wrote on his Telegram channel.

"The village of Gornal in the Sudzha District was shelled by the Ukrainians this afternoon. A woman was killed by shrapnel," Starovoit said, as he expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the killed woman. According to him, two houses were damaged in the attack.

The governor reported that Russian air defense forces downed four unmanned aerial vehicles over his region earlier on Tuesday.
