UNITED NATIONS, December 30. /TASS/. The task of Moscow is to prevent the Kiev regime from destroying its people, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.

"Our task is to prevent it from finally destroying its people. We hope it’s [the Kiev regime - TASS] Western sponsors will realize it a certain moment of time. The sooner it will take place, the better it will be for Ukraine," the Russian diplomat said at the UN Security Council’s meeting.

"Our special military operation is aimed not against them [Ukrainian civilians] but against the criminal Kiev regime that did not want to end the war against its compatriots in Donbass," Nebenzya added.
