One killed, two wounded, buildings damaged in Ukrainian strike on Crimea — regional head
Sergey Aksyonov added that six people have been evacuated to temporary accommodation centers
SIMFEROPOL, December 26. /TASS/. One person has been killed and another two have been wounded in an attack by Ukrainian forces on Feodosia, Crimea, while six buildings incurred damage, Head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov told journalists.
"Unfortunately, as a result of an enemy attack in Feodosia, one person was killed, two were wounded. Six buildings were damaged; mostly, windows were shattered. Six people have been evacuated to temporary accommodation centers; other residents are staying with their relatives and friends. Transport infrastructure is functioning normally; there are no restrictions on passenger traffic," Aksyonov said.
Earlier, Crimean Minister of Transport Nikolay Lukashenko said that rail transport in Crimea was functioning normally following the attack on Feodosia. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge, via the ferry crossing and at the Armyansk, Dzhankoy and Perekop checkpoints is also flowing regularly.
Additionally, it was reported that an enemy attack was carried out in Feodosia; the port area has been cordoned off and a fire localized. The Feodosia municipal administration said that traffic was temporarily blocked on two streets near the port. Bus schedules have been adjusted accordingly.
