MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Russian State Duma Deputy Speaker Vladislav Davankov filed his paperwork to the Central Election Commission to take part in the 2024 presidential campaign.

He was unanimously nominated by the ‘The New People’ political party earlier. Since this party has a faction in the State Duma, it does not have to collect signatures in support of its candidate.

Davankov has been serving as State Duma Deputy Speaker since October 12, 2021. In July, 2023, Davankov took part in Moscow mayoral elections.

The Russian presidential election is planned for March 15-17, 2024.
