Crimea receives $24.8 mln from sale of nationalized property this year — governor
The head of the region stressed that the regional authorities approach decisions on nationalization as fairly as possible, assessing all statements and actions of property owners
SIMFEROPOL, December 25. /TASS/. The republic of Crimea received 2.3 billion rubles ($24.8 mln) from the sale of the real estate which previously belonged to supporters of the Kiev regime, head of the republic, Sergey Aksenov said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
"Crimea has taken the path of nationalization and we are moving along it. This year we received 2.3 billion rubles from the sale of nationalized property items. This is just the start. I think, next year the amount will be higher," Aksenov said.
The head of the region stressed that the regional authorities approach decisions on nationalization as fairly as possible, assessing all statements and actions of property owners.
In 2022, Aksenov ordered the nationalization of the property of entities and individuals linked with the Kiev government. Since last fall, about 2,000 pieces of real estate have been nationalized in the republic, including the apartment of the wife of the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Yalta, as well as the property of Ukrainian oligarchs Sergey Taruta, Igor Kolomoisky, Rinat Akhmetov and politician Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
In December, the State Council of the republic nationalized the property of a number of resort complexes, as well as the Mariupol Iron and Steel Works, Yuvas-Trans LLC, Karakash Agro LLC, agricultural enterprises, banks, including the State Oschad bank of Ukraine, sports and rehabilitation centers, and a tennis club in Yalta.
