Additionally, the top Russian diplomat noted that the sides confirmed a shared stance on the unacceptability to react to any terror attacks by "collectively punishing civilians, indiscriminately using force or violating international humanitarian law"
MARRAKESH, December 20. /TASS/. Moscow hopes that the UN Security Council (UNSC) will soon react to the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum.
"We confirmed our shared position in favor of achieving the soonest stable ceasefire and providing aid to the Gaza population which suffers from the gravest humanitarian consequences of the blockade and continued combat," Lavrov said. Additionally, he noted that the sides confirmed a shared stance on the unacceptability to react to any terror attacks by "collectively punishing civilians, indiscriminately using force or violating international humanitarian law."
