Situation on battlefield disappointing, clear for Ukrainian forces — Russian diplomat
The Ukrainian army has been making unsuccessful offensive attempts since June 4
MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The situation in the special military operation zone is "disappointing and unambiguous" for the Ukrainian troops, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"The situation on the battlefield is disappointing and unambiguous for Ukrainian neo-Nazis," she said at a briefing.
The Ukrainian army has been making unsuccessful offensive attempts since June 4. The Russian side has repeatedly stressed that despite heavy losses, the counteroffensive has not brought Kiev any significant results. In an attempt to justify the lack of real gains in the combat zone, the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly blamed NATO for insufficient supplies, to which alliance officials have responded that Kiev has received everything it needs. On December 1, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky admitted that the Ukrainian counteroffensive had not achieved any results.
On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that the Ukrainian armed forces had lost over 159,000 servicemen during the so-called counteroffensive. In total, Kiev has lost more than 383,000 people since the beginning of the special military operation.
