CIS countries share approach to West’s destabilization attempts — Russian intelligence
The Western bloc’s countries' actions are aimed at impeding integration processes in our Commonwealth in order to prevent the emergence of another center of power and to preserve the hegemony of the Western world, Sergey Naryshkin said
MINSK, December 14. /TASS/. The heads of CIS special services make practically similar approaches to the West's attempts to destabilize the Commonwealth, the director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, told the media after the 19th meeting of heads of security and intelligence services of the CIS member states.
"I should say that there was a thorough and detailed analysis of the problems in the sphere I mentioned - the CIS space. The heads of our special services make almost identical approaches to the problems that have been created by the Western bloc’s countries," Naryshkin said. "Their actions are aimed at impeding integration processes in our Commonwealth in order to prevent the emergence of another center of power and to preserve the hegemony of the Western world."
"We have discussed in detail both the forms and methods of our cooperation. We believe that this joint work, of course, needs to be strengthened from year to year, which is actually happening," Naryshkin added.
