MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russians have sent over 2.8 million calls and messages to the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference, which was held today.

After the event, the Rossiya-24 TV channel summarized the statistics of the last two weeks. In total, the All-Russia People’s Front received more than 2,841,000 appeals in various formats. Russians made almost 1.7 million calls to the center, sent about 700,000 texts and more than 100,000 multimedia messages.

Citizens could also submit questions via the ‘Moscow - to Putin’ mobile app, the website or social networks. At the beginning of the program, about 50,000 letters were sent through the app and more than 150,000 emails were received via the namesake website. In addition, the call center received 100,000 questions from citizens via social networks.

The All-Russia People’s Front call center began receiving calls and messages from citizens on December 1. The center said that in addition to appeals to the head of state, it received a large number of congratulations and wishes, as well as thanks for the work done.

On December 14, the Russian leader summarized the results of the year within the framework of the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference, answering questions from reporters and appeals from Russians. The previous time the Q&A session combined with the press conference was in 2020, as the pandemic disrupted plans to hold the two events separately as usual.

The president’s Direct Line Q&A session was last held in 2021. There have been 18 such standalone events. Since 2001, Putin has taken to live TV 15 times to answer the Russian public’s questions as president and four more as prime minister.
