Many around world back Russia's actions, embrace traditional values — Putin
"We are not afraid of defending our national interests, at the same time not infringing upon others’," the head of state stressed
MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Many people in Europe, the United States and other parts of the world support Russia’s actions, with the number of those advocating traditional values growing exponentially, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
When asked during his combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference whether he thinks that a man living in a small German town some time in the future would say that Putin was right, he said, "Why only a German town? "I am sure, I know that very many people not only in German towns, but also in cities across Europe and the United States, let alone other regions of the world, think that we are right in what we are doing," he said.
"We are not afraid of defending our national interests, at the same time not infringing upon others’," he stressed. "And many people support this."
Russia "has a great number of supporters across the globe in terms of advocating our traditional values," he said. "There are a great number of them and their ranks continue to grow. Exponentially."
