MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. General Director of the Rosatom state corporation Alexey Likhachev held negotiations with Head of the China Atomic Energy Authority Zhang Kejian at the construction site of the Xudapu nuclear power plant, located in Liaoning province, the press service of the state corporation reported.

"Alexey Likhachev and Zhang Kejian discussed all the main issues of bilateral cooperation, including interaction on the construction of power units 7 and 8 of the Tianwan NPP and power units 3 and 4 of the Xudapu NPP and the supply of equipment for the Chinese fast-neutron demonstration reactor CFR600, as well as promising topics," the statement said.

The Tianwan NPP is the largest economic cooperation project between Russia and China. Currently, two power units are being built using the Russian design with a VVER-1200 reactor plant, with the launch date set for 2028.

Power units 3 and 4 of the Xudapu NPP of Russian third generation design with VVER-1200 reactors are being built at the Xudapu NPP site in northeast China in Liaoning Province. Commissioning of the units into commercial operation is scheduled for 2027-2028.
