MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. No country ever managed to cope with the blow of sanctions that Russia withstood, the Russian president’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said on Wednesday.

"No country ever, throughout its entire history, has managed to cope with a blow of sanctions comparable with the one that was dealt to us. Not only we withstood it, we managed to step on the path of growth, beginning this year," he said in an interview to the Rossiya-24 television.

"Isn’t it [a demonstration of] the state’s effectiveness? In many aspects, it is," Peskov added.

He added that Russia still has a lot of tasks to be achieved, but, most importantly, everyone is ready to work for fulfilling these goals.
