Russian special services monitor US attempts to interfere in Russia's elections — Lavrov
"We have nothing to hide, when we register such attempts, we present them to the whole world, no special diplomatic demarches are required in this case," the Russian foreign minister said
MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia's special services are monitoring attempts by the United States to illegally interfere in the Russian elections, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters.
"We speak publicly, this issue is being dealt with, including by [our] special services that monitor attempts to illegally involve [the US] in our internal processes. But we have nothing to hide, when we register such attempts, we present them to the whole world, no special diplomatic demarches are required in this case. The Americans know very well that we know, and they know that this is unacceptable," he said in response to a question from TASS.
"They think they have the right to interfere in the internal affairs of any state, while everyone else is forbidden to do so. It is a hegemon, but the process of weakening it and transforming it into a great, but not yet omnipotent power, is underway and unstoppable," the minister added.
