Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin noted that "invitations are traditionally sent to all the leaders of CIS states"
MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. The Russian side has invited all leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to an informal summit in St. Petersburg and is awaiting their response, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told TASS, commenting on the possibility of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit.
Replying to a question as to whether Russia is planning on Pashinyan’s participation in the event, the senior diplomat noted that "invitations are traditionally sent to all the leaders of CIS states."
"We are waiting for the reaction to these invitations," Galuzin said at a reception marking the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani nation.
Earlier, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev said that an informal meeting between the leaders of the CIS member states will be held in St. Petersburg on December 26.
