Denmark denies Russia's claim for legal aid in Nord Stream explosions — diplomat
The position and behavior of the Danish authorities in the Nord Streams case increasingly resemble "some theater of the absurd," Maria Zakharova sarcastically pointed out
MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. Denmark continues to refuse to provide Russia with legal assistance in the investigation of the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"The Danish Prosecution Service in December denied legal assistance in the investigation of sabotage of the Nord Stream-1 and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines following the appeal of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office," she said. "We were not surprised by this: we expected it to turn out like that. All this only confirmed the course of the Danish authorities to conceal the truth about the real authors and perpetrators of the terrorist attack. The Danish side, as in March 2023, referred to the absurd claim that honoring Russia’s request could allegedly ‘endanger the security of Denmark’," she pointed out.
The position and behavior of the Danish authorities in the Nord Streams case increasingly resemble "some theater of the absurd," the spokeswoman sarcastically pointed out.
"Despite the obstacles, the Russian side will continue to seek an effective, transparent and depoliticized investigation of the terrorist attacks with the participation of relevant Russian agencies and Gazprom, as well as international structures," Zakharova emphasized.
