MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. More than 1,050 Russian nationals have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Egypt via the Rafah crossing and then taken to Russia, the Russian foreign ministry said.
"In all, more than 1,050 compatriots have been evacuated from the conflict zone to Egypt via the Rafah crossing and safely taken to Russia," it said.
The ministry recalled that the latest group of 100 Russians and Palestinians and their family members who had been evacuated from the Gaza Strip arrived in Moscow by a Russian emergencies ministry’s plane on December 10. "A team from the foreign ministry met them at the Domodedovo airport to help them go through border, migration and passport control," it said.
