MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. More than 1.1 million questions and petitions have been delivered by phone and text messages to the People's Front ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s impending two-in-one event: a call-in show combined with a news conference.
According to Rossiya-24 television, people made more than 800,000 calls to a designated team, and sent in 290,000 text messages and 65,000 multimedia messages.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the president will recap the year’s results on December 14. Putin previously combined the call-in show with a news conference in 2020, when the Covid pandemic disrupted the routine.
The call-in show was last held in 2021, and there have been a total of 18 standalone call-in shows. Since 2001, Putin has taken to television to field questions from Russians 15 times as president and four times as prime minister.
