Russian Security Council secretary arrives in Sri Lanka on visit
Nikolay Patrushev last visited Sri Lanka in November 2021
MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev has arrived in Sri Lanka on a working visit.
According to the Russian Security Council press service, Russian-Lankan security consultations are scheduled to take place there.
The Russian Security Council secretary last visited Sri Lanka in November 2021. At that time, Patrushev held traditional security consultations with his counterpart Kamal Gunaratne and with Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Apart from that, Patrushev brought a shipment of the Sputnik V Covid vaccine to Sri Lanka as humanitarian aid.
On Wednesday, Patrushev traveled to Sri Lanka from Myanmar, where on Tuesday he held security consultations with Minister of Home Affairs Yar Pyae. He also met with Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing to discuss the Asia Pacific Region.
