Putin to treat Raisi to lunch at Kremlin, talks to be lengthy — aide
According to Yury Ushakov, several representatives from the Russian and Iranian delegations will also participate in this conversation
MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Talks between Russian and Iranian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ebrahim Raisi are scheduled for the afternoon of December 7 at the Kremlin, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told reporters, noting that the two leaders are expected to have a lengthy conversation.
"We expect to start [Raisi's] working visit, talks in the Kremlin at 4:00 p.m. Moscow time. Initially, there will be a rather lengthy conversation between the two presidents," the Kremlin spokesman said. He said that the exact time of the Iranian president's arrival in the Russian capital was not yet known.
According to Ushakov, several representatives from the Russian and Iranian delegations will also participate in this conversation. "The format is approximately one plus four," he specified. The Russian leader's aide added that "the presidents will make statements at the beginning of the talks, characterize the state of affairs in bilateral relations, and outline the main points of the negotiations."
The Kremlin spokesman said that then "negotiations will be held in the format of a working lunch." Ushakov added that "members of the delegations will inform journalists on the results."
