China to boost cooperation with Russia to combat transborder crime

BEIJING, December 5. /TASS/. China is interested in closer cooperation with Russia to combat transnational crime, Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong said.
"China is ready to work with Russia on the implementation of an important consensus that was reached between the heads of the two states, to strengthen practical cooperation in such areas as combating transnational crime," Xinhua quoted him as saying at a meeting with visiting Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
According to the Chinese minister, his country also plans to expand cooperation with Russia in such areas as cybersecurity, combating drug trafficking, and boosting the efficiency of measures to defend law and order.
Wang recalled that the two countries will mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2024 and stressed that bilateral relations are developing steadily and smoothly under the guidance of the two countries’ leaders.
