Putin to come to UAE, Saudi Arabia with gifts, Kremlin aide says
Yury Ushakov noted that the exchange of gifts was "a tradition for visits of this kind"
MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will visit the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on December 6, is expected to bring gifts to the leaders of these countries, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.
"Yes, gifts, of course, there will be an exchange of gifts in line with the protocol," the Kremlin aide said in response to a question from TASS.
"I honestly don't even know what we will bring from our side, but it is a tradition for visits of this kind," Ushakov pointed out.
The last time Putin came to the United Arab Emirates and to Saudi Arabia was in October 2019. Then he presented the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with a white gyrfalcon. In Riyadh, the Russian president presented Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with a Kamchatka gyrfalcon.
