Putin hopes Russian-British relations will improve

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes for an improvement in relations between Moscow and London.
"The current state of affairs in the dialogue with London is common knowledge. Let's hope that the situation will still change for the better to the benefit of our two countries and peoples," Putin said at a ceremony of accepting credentials from foreign ambassadors, including Britain’s ambassador Nigel Casey.
Putin recalled that the other day marked the 80th anniversary of the Tehran Conference of the heads of the three allied states: the Soviet Union, the United States and Great Britain - Joseph Stalin, Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, which laid the groundwork of the modern system of international relations.
"In the post-war period and until recently, our countries managed to build interaction based on the understanding of their special responsibility for maintaining global peace, stability and security as permanent members of the UN Security Council," Putin said.
