Ukraine’s military fires over 70 shells at Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region in past day
In the Borisovsky district, the outskirts of the village of Bogun-Gorodok came under fire, with six shells hitting the area
BELGOROD, December 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military fired over 70 various munitions at Russia’s Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine and carried out several drone attacks over the past day, with no casualties or damage reported, Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Friday.
"In the Belgorodsky district, seven artillery shells and six grenade launcher rounds were fired against the village of Shchetinovka and four artillery munitions were launched against the village of Zhuravlyovka. In the village of Naumovka, electronic warfare systems landed two enemy UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles]. In the village of Solntsevka, a kamikaze drone attack was carried out. There are no injuries or damage in either of these settlements," the governor said.
In the Borisovsky district, the outskirts of the village of Bogun-Gorodok came under fire, with six shells hitting the area. In the Volokonovsky district, the Ukrainian military shelled the outskirts of the farmstead Stary from a mortar, with four mortar rounds hitting the area, he said.
In the Graivoronsky urban district, the Ukrainian military fired 12 mortar rounds against the outskirts of the village of Spodaryushino, four mortar rounds against the outskirts of the village of Dronovka and six mortar rounds against the outskirts of the village of Novostroyevka-Vtoraya. In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the Ukrainian army shelled the outskirts of the village of Staroselye from artillery guns, with eight munitions hitting the area, Gladkov said.
In the Shebekino urban district, the Ukrainian military dropped an improvised explosive from a drone in the village of Terezovka. The Ukrainian army fired four mortar rounds against the Mukhin farmstead, three mortar rounds against the Pankov farmstead, six mortar rounds against the Shebekino automobile checkpoint, two shells against the village of Murom and one mortar round against the village of Sereda, the governor said.
"In Sereda, the enemy also dropped an improvised explosive from a drone. There are no injuries or damage in any of these settlements," Gladkov said.
