Lavrov to focus on European security crisis in address to OSCE meeting — diplomat
Maria Zakharova pointed out that the US "cannot stand competition and can only exist in an atmosphere of controlled chaos"
MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Top Russian diplomat Sergey Lavrov will zero in on Europe’s security crisis in his address to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) foreign ministers' meeting in North Macedonia, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"Today, Sergey Lavrov will talk about the crisis situation and the OSCE in general, namely Europe’s security and cooperation crisis. It clearly stems from the desire of a certain country - the United States of America - to do everything possible to hinder normal cooperation and efforts to establish collective security on the European continent," the diplomat told Rossiya-1’s 60 Minutes program.
Zakharova pointed out that the US "cannot stand competition and can only exist in an atmosphere of controlled chaos." "They [the Americans] have forgotten that they are no longer capable of controlling this chaos," she added.
The OSCE foreign ministers' meeting is taking place in Skopje from November 30 to December 1. North Macedonia is holding the OSCE Chairmanship this year.
